CREATING BEAUTIFUL AND USABLE SPACES WITH A BLOCK RETAINING WALL

Problem

This customer already had a stunning all natural garden that used no unnatural chemicals. Having grandchildren there needed to be a flat area to play on. The rear garden had a significant slope and neither the front or rear had any friendly surfaces to play on. The previous garden had soil old, stepping pavers, mulch and decorative stones. Our suggestion, extend the block retaining wall.

Solution

For the rear garden we chose to match an existing block retaining wall. Then build a new wall around the sloped area and raise it up so we could make a flatter surface that still had adequate drainage.

The front needed clearing, leveling and soil prep with fresh fertiliser and underturf. Then we would apply shade tolerant turf to both the front and rear to complete the project.

End Result

Once completed there was plenty of soft flat lawn perfect to play on. This complimented the existing garden by creating an additional feature layer in the rear garden.

Absolutely stunning result achieved.
