HIDE AND SEEK WITH THE MIDDAY SUN PRODUCES AN ATTRACTIVE RAINFOREST WALL GARDEN
Problem
This garden started as a rock wall with a few ferns behind the clients house, Safari Gardens had been maintaining the area for a while when the owner approached us to rejuvenate the area.
Solution
Due to it’s location this particular area missed the majority of the midday sun presenting a perfect opportunity to produce a rainforest style garden that climbed up the wall. Using sun loving plants such as bamboo at the top, it was possible to shade the less sun tolerant plants such as philodendrons and dracaenas during the midday heat.
End Result
With the addition of a few garden features, Safari Gardens created a rainforest wall that brought this part of the yard to life.
